NIALL TEAGUE AND PADRAIC JOYCE BIO

Teague & Joyce are an award-winning folk and Americana duo from Galway, Ireland. Renowned for their rich vocal harmonies, acoustic musicianship and evocative songwriting, their music draws inspiration from the people, places and stories of Ireland's west coast while blending influences from folk, country, blues and traditional Irish music.

Their latest album, Lost On The Wander, was launched to a sold-out audience at Galway's Mick Lally Theatre, featuring special guest Sharon Shannon. Recent highlights also include performances at Galway Folk Festival and venues across Ireland. Their songs have received support from RTÉ Radio 1, BBC Radio Ulster and regional stations throughout Ireland, with John Creedon describing the duo's songwriting pedigree as "beyond compare."

Niall Teague and Padraic Joyce first came together through a shared passion for songwriting and have since become respected voices in contemporary Irish folk music, performing in both English and Irish. Their songs explore themes of place, belonging, community and the lives of ordinary people, creating music that is deeply rooted in the west of Ireland while resonating with audiences far beyond it.

As a native Irish speaker, Padraic Joyce brings a distinctive Irish-language element to the duo's repertoire. Their award-winning song Ar Saoire won both the National and International Pan Celtic Song Contest, while the duo also won Oireachtas na Gaeilge's inaugural songwriting competition.

Their 2023 album What Will We Be received critical acclaim, reached the Irish iTunes charts and was included in Grammy Awards consideration for Best Folk Album. The album further established Teague & Joyce as distinctive voices within contemporary Irish folk music and earned praise from Irish Music Magazine, Hot Press and broadcasters across Ireland.

Over the years, Teague & Joyce have quietly built a loyal following through countless performances in theatres, arts centres, festivals and folk clubs across Ireland and the UK. Along the way they have shared stages with artists including Sharon Shannon, Liam Ó Maonlaí and John Spillane, developing a reputation as one of Ireland's hardest-working independent folk acts.

Whether performing as a duo or with their full band, Teague & Joyce are known for heartfelt performances, compelling storytelling and songs that linger long after the final note.
